Ever since leaving University in the mid Eighties, Jacqueline has worked for most UK fashion magazines and a huge amount in Italy, France, Australia, USA, Greece and Japan.
Jacqueline was with leading international illustration agency illustration X for 15 years , her work went global with commissions from Germany, France, North and South America, Japan, Italy, India and China. Now on her on, Jacqueline continues to work freelance in live events and on private commissions.
Working across a broad spectrum in the fashion world you can find her illustrations on everything from book covers to duvet covers, on web sites, billboard advertisements, jewellery brochures, point of sale (POS) and signage in stores.
Jacqueline’s work has been commissioned for use on scarves, clutch bags, bed linen, bathroom accessories and kitchenware.
In the last 15 years, live drawing has really taken off for Jacqueline. Her first event was on the Beauty floor at Selfridges for Bourjois. She has worked in Selfridges stores all over the UK for Kurt Geiger and at many customer events for Louis Vuitton . Jacqueline worked the days leading up to Christmas on the ground floor where she drew clients, awaiting their personalized LV purchases . Working for Mac at their global campaign Art of The Lip which featured other famous fashion illustrators at the end of April 2016 in Westfield Shopping Centre, Covent Garden & Selfridges . Louis Vuitton call on Jacqueline for their Xmas Cocktail events and Mothers’ Day celebrations, nationwide.
Live drawing has taken Jacqueline to the Middle East, working in Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait for Van Cleef & Arpels. For their new store openings, Jacqueline drew @ 30 fashion portraits. in 4 hour time slots of guests who sat for less than 10 minutes to receive their very personal gift.
Cartier invited Jacqueline to Le Bristol hotel in Paris recently where their very select guests were viewing the new collection. There she sat and sketched celebrity guests from all over the world, who were then presented their portraits in archive boxes, personalized in gold ink.
For the past 4 years Jacqueline has drawn guests at Soho House Festival for Cherry Red Events - always a lively and so far, sunny day, it’s a lovely relaxed venue to work.
Of course the pandemic hit the live event business and Jacqueline’s work hard, giving her more time and a chance to experiment and join many zoom life drawing classes, getting the chance to draw professional models and performers and connect with other fashion illustrators both professional and people just starting out . “ To be honest,” says Jacqueline “ I’ve really enjoyed having the time to paint for ME for a change. I love my work but I felt that k was being asked to do the same style over and over - it’s been great fun to try out different styles and just have FUN!” She has enjoyed many hundreds of sessions with Drawing Cabaret Couture, Ami with an Eye & Drop Dead Gorgeous_drawing
Jacqueline’s work continues in many areas of the fashion industry and she welcomes new challenges, loving the variation of work and continuing to experiment with her hand-crafted techniques.
A recent commission saw her working for the popular Netflix series Emily in Paris. She worked on over 60 illustrations for a book ,released in Autumn 2022
