Artwork can be prepared before The Day- for INVITATIONS or for use on a ‘WELCOME’ sign (top left) or afterwards at my studio (top right) Digital portrait commissioned by sister of the bride for a wedding gift for the Bride and a copy for each of her best friends.
The bottom two are portraits painted live on the day.
When additional portraits are required AFTER the wedding, an additional cost of £70 per couple is required. (From photos) I usually paint the bride and groom at my studio for no extra cost (so I can take a little longer and just need a quick photo of the busy bride and groom.)
STEP THREE
The set up that I bring will depend upon the amount of space there is at your venue. Preference to paint standing up which is better for posture, for this I use a French style free standing box easel. I can be free standing but best to be next to a table to place additional paints and to add the portraits to the display area (table top usually)
STEP ONE
Before the wedding- decide whether you’d like DIGITAL or HAND PAINTED- both can be prepared with your name / logo / venue / date.
Digital sketches can be printed ‘on site’ for the additional cost of an assistant (£175)
Please click on LIVE EVENT BOOKINGS for costs of SILVER (half a day) or GOLD (full day) packages.
Also choose envelope colour to match your theme.
STEP FOUR
ON THE DAY
I arrive 1 hour before to set up, usually painting ‘live’ during drinks reception (guest stands for 10 mins, often drink in hand chatting to me or another guest) Sample on left side.
When the guests go into the ‘wedding breakfast’, Photos are taken in the last 30 mins of drinks reception (by my assistant if working full day GOLD package) so I continue from photos whilst guests dine.
If working all day the guests will have the opportunity to be painted after eating.
Please note if working all day the Bride and Groom will usually arrange a meal for myself (and assistant) so we can have a short break in-between sets (a ‘set’ is usually 4 hours long)
STEP TWO
DISPLAY options to consider.
BOHO look with images strung up on mini pegs- great for a barn or rustic country style wedding.
FORMAL style artwork displayed on mini easels
Both create a gallery area where your guests can view the portraits. They often have fun trying to spot their friends/ family members before collecting theirs from HAND LABELLED envelopes at the end.
Also an option for artworks delivered in card mounts for an additional cost.
STEP FOUR
At the end, all artwork is placed into envelopes (colour of your choice) hand scripted with guest names and placed on a table for the guest to collect (usually when I have packed up and finished for the day)
